The CD-i or Compact Disc Interactive is an interactive multimedia cd player created by the collaboration of PHILIPS and SONY. It could play audio cd, graphic cd (cd+g), Karaoke cd and video cd - required digital video card for mpeg-1 decoding. It was launched as a game machine but was a major commercial failure and the games released for it are considered the worst video games ever made.
